CASology #41 - GIGGLE :)

There was only one thing I could do for this challenge

Supplies: Unity stamps (toilet paper & sentiment); Crafty Basics woodgrain washi; PTI 'splatter' stamp; Vintage Photo distress ink; Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

As you can see, the 'w' smeared a little. I was about to scrap it & try again when I realized....really, what better card to salvage a mis-stamp? So out came the splatters & I stamped off once on scrap paper to get the lighter brown. And yes, it had to be brown, hahaha!

I would love it if you'd also offer an opinion on which photo is better - I've been playing around with my editing software, and yes, these are two completely different photos, not just edited differently - but I'm also wondering about the angled card pose, rather than head-on. Anyway. Help a girl out.

As per usual the CASology challenge will close in mere hours....one of these days I'll get to it earlier! Some pretty funny cards are linked up - you should go check out the gallery!
xoxo,
Jessi

OMG... you totally went there!!! LOL, I love it! Totally laughing over here. too funny.

I'm a straight on photo taker, so I like that one better. Just personal preference. But you might want to leave a little more of the background around the edge of the photo to help balance it out. The angled one is good too. I'm the worst at photos, so you can take or leave my tips. My feelings won't be hurt. Lol.

LOL Jessie :) :) :)
It's always hard to work out which angle looks best!

Omg, poop splatters, haaaahaaa! (Can you tell I live with 13 year old boys, lol!) Way to make it work with the smudge!

Picture-wise, I'm a slightly off center picture taker. I find that the offset placement is more forgiving plus I use a lot of metallics/shiny things. They tend to look better at an angle. I agree with Lisa that a bit more area around the card would give a nice frame. Sometimes when cards are cropped a lot, I get confused and think the area around the card is part of the card. Hope that's the kind of feedback you were hoping for:) Have a great week hon!

Haha.... Yep it had to be brown, glad I'm not eating when I'm reading this :0) the stamp and sentiment are too funny and I bet it's the only toilet roll stamp out there too :0)

Forgot to add that I like to take photos of my cards at an angle because I think it helps with seeng dimension n them and perspective too. Not too much of an angle that the focus is out on the edges of your card!!! Hope that makes sense :0)

LOL! I must get that set! I love the brown spatters - noticed them right away. :) And I wouldn't have even noticed the smudge if you hadn't mentioned it. :)

I'm a fan of the angled cards myself as it picks up more dimension. I always take a straight on shot too though just in case...

lol This is absolutely awesome!!! The splatters are perfection :)

I always take straight on shots and angled ones (from several different angles) and decide which looks best for that particular card after. The colour is better on the first shot, so you could play with the contrast or something on the second to deepen the colour.

Hugs, Dawn
