Shopping our Stash #254 - The Four Elements!

Good morning! At Shopping our Stash we'd like to see your projects featuring one (or more) of  the  4 elements - Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire. I've gone with Water for mine, using an image that's been kicking around on my desk for *koff* I dunno how long.

Supplies: Koi pre-coloured digi from Doodle Pantry; sentiment from Reverse Confetti; Sakura Stardust glitter pen; Mod Podge Dimensional Magic; Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade distress inks; Yellow Daisy tattered angels glimmer mist; bling from stash

I added some glitter details to the fish, then coated it with a thick layer of Dimensional Magic before fussy-cutting it and crackling it in a few places.

Did you catch our new design team announcement on Saturday? Stacey, Maria, Mimi, and Cyndi will be joining us over the next few challenges, and we're so glad to have them with us!

Check out what the rest of my awesome teammates made!

And you have until Monday June 6 to come play!

I also realized I haven't shared a picture of my crafty canine in ages - so here's a shot of Miss Abby hanging out while I create:

Tuesday Morning Sketches #354 - Pink & Main!

Good morning! Pink & Main is our sponsor this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches - who will be the lucky random winner of a $15 store credit? I'd had this image coloured for a few weeks just waiting for the right card, and I think this is it!

Supplies: Dream of Iris image by Ching Chou Kuik; Spectrum Noir markers; Lil Inkers stitched rectangle dies; medallion & sentiment stamps from Annabelle Stamps; Wilted Violet distress ink; Sakura Stardust glitter pen; twine & vellum from stash

The second tilted rectangle is very difficult to make out in the photograph since the vellum matches the cream card stock nearly perfectly.

Here's the sketch:

This challenge will be open until next Sunday, June 5 - hop on over & see what the rest of the team has made!

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - N is for...

...not a card! I know, two non-card projects in a row on my blog...I can't believe it either! The Snarky Sisters would like to see any project that isn't a card - the sky's the limit! I've been saving this palette since January. I picked up some paint brushes at the dollar store simply because they were packaged with it :) It was a definite challenge to photograph:

There are so many supplies involved that I'm not going to list them all. because I'll miss most of them. Crackle paints and crackle embossing paste, stencils, stamps, chipboard, tissue, distress stains, etc etc etc.

I consider this a work in progress, so you will probably see it again with more details :)

Check out the amazing Sisterhood's creations -

Shopping our Stash #253 - Anything but a Card!

This week at Shopping our Stash we've got a challenge outside my comfort zone - anything but a card! I'm not a total stranger to creating little pieces of home decor, but it's definitely not my go-to. This little piece has sparked some creativity though, and I'm working on a few other pieces!

Supplies: literally everything from stash - the canvas board is 4" square for reference

This little canvas board has been kicking around for ages waiting for me to have an idea - tada! I stitched the buttons to the rosette, and then used super sticky glue dots to adhere  it all to the canvas board. Still need to figure out how to hang it up, but for now it's tucked into my craft shelves :)

Check out what the rest of my awesome teammates made!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #353 - our own Melissa!

Good morning! I'm the sketcher at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week, and Melissa is our sponsor - she's got a little prize pack full of things that remind her of her daughter, who's graduating this week :)

Supplies: stamps from Unity; classic small circle Nesties; unknown speech bubble die; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Sharpies; Over the Hill confetti (lol) and sequins

My card is incredibly similar to the one that inspired the sketch - when I started working I thought hey, I found the Over the Hill confetti, lemme try that again :)

This challenge will be open until next Sunday, May 29 - hop on over & see what the rest of the team has made! This is sadly Lee's last week with us as she's preparing to move home to the US - we'll miss her on the team!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #352 - Crafty Sentiments!

Good morning! Our sponsor this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches is Crafty Sentiments, which has all sorts of different things to spark your creativity!

Supplies: Stamps from Clearly Besotted; distress inks in Bundled Sage & Shabby Shutters; papers & buttons from stash; Cuttlebug embossing folder

I used both inks to get a better match for the papers I'd chosen to work with :)
Here's the sketch:

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - F is for...

FUGLY! A favourite word of the Snarky Sisters, it's a combination of F***ing and Ugly. You know, that piece of paper in an otherwise cute stack that's just hideous? Or an image that's just....no. I went with a stamp from a set that drives me batsh** - love your muffin top? Really?

I had it out because I do like the other 2 sentiments, and my friend said um, that looks like poop. Fun grad card was born!

Supplies: Neat & tangled poop frosting stamp; Paper Smooches fly stamp; Spectrum Noir markers; computer generated sentiment; grad cap confetti & googly eyes; Lil Inkers stitched rectangle die

Since technically this is a cupcake stamp, I'm going to enter in Naughty or Nice's Hello Cupcake challenge...kinda up their alley ;)

And this week's guest designer, Creepy Glowbugg!

Shopping our Stash #251 - April Showers bring May flowers

Good morning! This week at Shopping our Stash we have a nice broad challenge for you -  This week, as the challenge title suggests, we challenge you to use umbrellas, rain, or flowers, OR make a wedding/baby shower card or project. See? Lots of options!! I decided to do some quilling, since I haven't done any since Christmas, and used a rainbow spectrum:

Supplies: quilling paper; MME enamel dots; bling from stash; unknown sentiment stamp; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Sakura Stardust glitter pen

I took a wild leap of faith and after adding the quilling I stamped the sentiment (whew!) and then traced over it with the glitter pen.

Check out what the rest of my awesome teammates made!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #351 - our own Patti!

Good morning! Patti is our sponsor this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches, and she's offering up a stamp set and a fun package of embellies to this week's lucky random winner!

Supplies: Paper Smooches stamps; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Spectrum Noir markers; Stampin Up clouds embossing folder; Lil Inker cloud & sun dies; googly eyes; action wobbler

The sheep is on an action wobbler - and tell me this sketch isn't perfect for a little scene!

This challenge will be open until next Sunday, May 15 - hop on over & see what the rest of the team has made!

Shopping our Stash #250 - Pink (gah!) UFOs

Can you believe it's our 250th challenge at Shopping our Stash? The team decided to host another tribute to Leslie by including one of her favourite things (using up UFOs, those "unfinished objects" we've all got cluttering our desks) and one of her favourite things to hate - PINK (gah!)

I have two UFOs on my project - the pink oval and the mother's day sentiment. That oval has definitely been kicking around for a few months! I decided to also include stitching & buttons on my card because Leslie used to always comment that it would drive her crazy to do it - and I think of her every time I sew on a button frame.

Supplies: Flourishes image; PTI sentiment; Reverse Confetti die & polka dot frame; distress inks for watercolouring; Palette Noir & Memento Gray Flannel inks; Tim Holtz design ruler; embroidery supplies

We love you & we miss you, Leslie.

Check out what the rest of my awesome teammates made!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #350 - Digital Delights!

HOLY MOLY it's our 350th challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches - congratulations to all of you who play along with us & keep us going! This week our sponsor is  Digital Delights by Louby Loo, and just by playing along you could win your choice of digis.

Supplies: Stampendous grad chick; Unity background stamp; Spectrum Noir markers; Doodlebug crushed velvet flock in yellow; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; MFT stars die; Studio G sentiment; Diamond stickles; Sakura Stardust glittter pen

Not only is this chickie fuzzy, but GOOGLY EYES! I used scraps of black glitter paper, traced the sentiment, and highlighted some of the background stamp with Diamond Stickles for some sparkle.

Here's the sketch:

This challenge will be open until next Sunday, May 8 - hop on over & see what the rest of the team has made!
